At Bharatiya Neeti Samvad Kendra (BNSK), we are privileged to be guided by the visionary leadership of our Patron, Prof. (Dr.) Mukundrao Tapkir, a stalwart academician and social reformer whose life’s work continues to inspire generations. Recently honored with the prestigious Jeevan Sadhana Gaurav Puraskar by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Prof. (Dr.) Tapkir’s contributions span decades of unwavering service in education, policy, and cooperative sectors. As a former Professor and two-term holder of the Vikhe Patil Chair at Pune University, he has mentored over 60 M.Phil and 30 PhD scholars, shaping future leaders with his wisdom and dedication. Beyond academia, he has been a force for societal change — serving as President of Sahakar Bharati, Maharashtra State, Vice Chairman of Janata Sahakari Bank, Pune, and remaining actively involved in the cooperative movement for over 30 years. A lifelong Social Karyakarta, Prof. (Dr.) Tapkir’s grassroots connection and relentless pursuit of community upliftment align seamlessly with BNSK’s mission. Under his mentorship, we continue to thrive, working diligently toward impactful policy research, governance reforms, and building an inclusive, self-reliant India.
